The Trojan Women

Scarily this ancient Greek anti-war play is still chillingly relevant for a modern audience. As the God's plot and scheme together, the last refugees of the decade long Trojan War are huddle in tents outside the shattered wreck of the once glorious city. All of them are women. Hecuba, who was once Queen of Troy, grieves for her city, sons and husband. The chorus of women with her bemoan their fate. All are now bound as slaves to the Greeks.  Her women wail for their destroyed hopes, washed all to ashes as Troy is set to the torch and they are led away into slavery.
